Civil Rights for Wind River
Grassroots Advocacy for Indigenous Justice and Empowerment
About Civil Rights for Wind River
Civil Rights for Wind River is a grassroots movement committed to protecting and advancing the civil rights of indigenous people living on and around the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Our work is rooted in justice, equity, and the unwavering belief that Native voices must be heard, respected, and empowered. We challenge systemic injustices embedded in legal, tribal, and governmental systems that have historically marginalized indigenous communities.
Our mission extends beyond advocacy to include providing comprehensive support and resources to Native individuals and communities. We work tirelessly to advocate for sovereignty, representation, and equity in public policy while amplifying the powerful stories and voices from Wind River and beyond. Through our grassroots efforts, we strive to create meaningful change and ensure that indigenous peoples have a seat at the table in decisions that affect their lives and futures.
Our Advocacy

Legal and Systemic Justice Advocacy
We challenge systemic injustices within legal, tribal, and governmental systems that disproportionately affect indigenous communities. Our advocacy work focuses on reforming policies and practices to ensure fair treatment and protection of civil rights for Native peoples.

Community Engagment
Community engagement is an essential foundation for any successful Civil Rights action, as meaningful and lasting change is only achieved through collective action and the active involvement of the public. Such engagement is critical for amplifying voices, raising public consciousness regarding pervasive social injustices, and demanding accountability from authorities and institutions.
